Frequently Asked Questions
✦ When to use the 'Restart' button ?
The only cas where you should set this button to 'On' is when your last fill has not been recorded into FuelStats, Otherwise, leave it to 'Off'.
This is needed in order to inform FuelStats that the previous record is not in sequence, preventing to compute false statistics.
✦ My last operation was not a full fill-up, I have no new mpg result.
This is normal, FuelStats will compute the mpg result between two full fill-ups. It needs a reference point to compute the amount of fuel that has been used and this is the full fill-ups. It could be when the tank is empty, but that would not be nice. However, the two full fill-ups are not necessary consecutive, FuelStats will add any partial fill in between.
✦ What should I do to get the most precise results ?
When filling up the tank, try to fill to the same level every time (when doing a full fill-up). This is to ensure the reference point is the same for all the full fills.
✦ I have issues importing csv data.
The important point with csv data is to be sure to have one and only one end-of-line character in between two records. As the records might be too long to fit in one line, some tools are adding an end-of-line character inside a line in order to wrap the text, this will prevent the import to work.
What is working good with the iPhone is to keep the sent email with your data on your iPhone, then open it and tap on the csv file to display it, the iPhone will display it as an array that you may copy/paste.
